Sandi Shukster
I was born in Toronto and have lived here all my life. I went to the University of Toronto where I received a B.B.A. in Sociology. It was after graduating that I decided to be a C.A. and had to go back to university to take an additional 17 courses to fulfill the requirements of the C.A. program. I obtained my C.A. designation in 1994. I started working at KPMG while studying towards my degree. I enjoyed working there but found I had an entrepreneurial spirit. I started working for my own clients right away and built a small base while working at small C.A. firms. I gained valuable experience there.
The joint decision Nancy and I made to join forces and open up our own practice in Richmond Hill in 2004 was one of our best. We have worked well together and her friendship is something I value highly.
I am a member in good standing of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants.
I am married and have two teenagers which is a second full-time job.
I am a lifelong Toronto Maple Leaf fan and sincerely hope I will see a Stanley Cup parade in my lifetime.
